WirelessGRID Outdoor Mounting Procedure
Article # 371
Title WirelessGRID Outdoor Mounting Procedure
Abstract Basic steps for mounting AIRAYA Wireless Grid outdoor bridge.
1. Attach the outdoor unit to the mast using the two included pole mounting clamps. Note: A 1/2 inch wrench or socket will be needed to complete this installation.

2. Align the outdoor unit horizontally. Loosen the pole mounting clamps just enough to visually aim the outdoor unit at the remote end point. Set the appropriate horizontal angle and tighten the pole mounting clamps so that the angle is locked in place.

3. Align the outdoor unit vertically. Loosen the elevation control bolts on the mounting bracket and point the antenna towards the remote end point.

4. Set the appropriate elevation angle and tighten the bolts so that the angle is locked in place. The bracket design allows for up to 20 tilt of the antenna.

5. Secure the Category 5E cable to the mast close to the outdoor unit. Note: AIRAYA recommends using UV rated tie wraps. Note: It is recommended that you secure the entire cable length to the mast every 10 feet.

6. Repeat steps one through five for the second outdoor unit in the remote location.

7. If necessary, use the Wireless Grid antenna alignment tool to fine tune your received signal strength (RSS). For further details please view article # 210. WirelessGRID Signal Strength Measurement Utility.

8. Repeat step seven for the second outdoor unit.
